Why Gen Z Deserves a Better Makeup Wipe

Let's be honest: most makeup remover wipes on the market were designed for a different era. The formulas, the size, the thickness — they were engineered when "skincare" meant SPF moisturizer and a bar of soap. That was not Gen Z's world.

Gen Z grew up with TikTok skin diaries, glass skin goals, and the understanding that your skin barrier is sacred. You know about ceramides. You patch-test new products. You understand that what touches your face matters.

"If you're spending $60 on a serum and then wiping your face with a scratchy, alcohol-laden square of thin cotton — you're undoing your own work."

The problem with standard wipes

Most drugstore wipes are thin — almost tissue-thin — which means they drag across your skin instead of lifting makeup off it. That friction irritates the skin barrier over time, contributing to redness, sensitivity, and breakouts. Add in harsh preservatives and synthetic fragrance, and you have a product that's actively working against the routine you've carefully built.

Size is the other issue. The average makeup wipe is roughly the size of your palm. Try removing a full face of foundation, concealer, contour, and mascara with one of those. You can't. You use two, three, sometimes four — which means more friction, more chemicals, more irritation.

What we built instead

Havenly wipes are bigger and thicker by design. Not as a gimmick — as a function. One wipe should be enough to fully cleanse your face without re-using or doubling up. The material is softer, so there's less drag. The formula is gentler, so your barrier stays intact.
